Welcome to the New York Regional Council website. Our website contains information designed to inform and enhance the value of your IMA membership. Of course, the best way to achieve maximum benefit in your IMA membership is to participate in our related Chapter activities.
Specifically, our Council website provides:
- Council Meeting Dates – On a bi-monthly basis, the Council meets to collaborate and share ideas amongst its regional Chapters. We are always eager to offer, solicit and obtain different ideas for providing educational opportunities to our members. If you have ideas for speakers, topics or alternative formats, please contact us and/or meet with us at our Council meetings.
- Communications – On this website, we will post details of upcoming meetings and activities, as well as a variety of news and other information.
- Certification – The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is the recognized professional designation for accountants in management and finance, and our Chapters and New York Regional Council are available to provide information regarding the certification program and resources available to you to become certified.
- Membership – Professionals who are currently in public accounting, corporate management, educational instructors, students, or independent consultants can find cost effective educational opportunities, networking and other benefits through membership in IMA, our Chapters and Council. We are actively recruiting new members! Whether you are an accounting student, a CPA, a tax attorney or a professional in the wide world of finance we welcome you all. In order for our Council to offer the best service to our members, we need your support, participation, attendance, ideas and suggestions on how we can serve you better.
If you would like to learn about the CMA designation, learn about events that offer CPE credits, learn about our group or what the IMA may offer your professional career, please contact us or attend one of our Council meetings or local Chapter events. If you have questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to seeing you at one of our next Council meetings and welcome your ideas and feedback.
